Today, the rating includes 400 companies from manufacturing, financial and other sectors of the economy. We bring to your attention the top ten leaders who led rating of the largest companies in Russia "Expert 400" for 2012.
10. Holding IDGC (electric power industry, sales volume - 634 608 million rubles)
The holding separated from RAO UES of Russia in 2007. Today, in 97 constituent entities of the Federation, 97 branches of IDGC operate. The controlling shareholder of the company is the state, which owns 54.52% of the shares.
9. Transneft, JSC (transport and transportation, 670,270 million rubles)
The company transports more than 90% of the oil produced in Russia. Transneft owns about 70 thousand kilometers of trunk pipelines. 100% of the voting shares of the oil company are in federal ownership.
8. “Surgutneftegas” (oil and gas industry, 787 854 million rubles)

7. Sistema JSFC (diversified holding company, 969,318 million rubles)

6. Sberbank of Russia (banking sector, 1 002 500 million rubles)

5. TNK-BP (oil and gas and oil industry, 1,223,064 million rubles)
The company has risen one position in the Expert-400 rating compared to last year. In addition to oil and associated gas production, TNK-BP is also involved in their processing. The company owns 5 refineries, as well as about 1,500 gas stations in Russia and Ukraine.
4. Russian Railways (transport and transportation, 1,480,879 million rubles)
Russian Railways is one of the three largest transport companies in the world. 100% of the shares of the national railway carrier belongs to the state. The company runs more than 85 thousand kilometers of railways.
3. The oil company Rosneft (oil and gas and oil industry, 1 858 035 million rubles)
Three leaders rating of the largest companies in Russia remained unchanged since 2011. Rosneft is engaged in the production, refining of oil and gas, as well as the sale of the final product to consumers through a network of gas stations. Three quarters of the company's shares belong to the fully state-owned ROSNEFTEGAS OJSC.
